Get to know me
Hi Iām Jessica!
I am a licensed Mental Health Clinician in the state of NY. I have been working in the field of mental health for over 5 years. I started my work in this field at a non-profit agency working with a population diagnosed with severe mental illness. As part of a team of like-minded & talented individuals I helped clients transition from the hospital back to their homes in the community providing psychoeducation, therapy, & support. Helping them plant roots, better manage their symptoms & maintain stability. That experience, along with my education, helped me develop my clinical skills & during the COVID shutdown I decided to open a private practice to help many others struggling within my community.
Mental health support has always been a passion of mine, as I have struggled with anxiety & depression myself. I am happy to see the stigma associated with mental health treatment decreasing, as I know & understand how important it is to get the help that you need.
What makes me different from other therapists? My care is genuine. I am someone that will not only care about your symptoms, but will want to know you as a whole person. I am direct in my approach, and will help you make those tough & important connections. And while therapy can be clinical, it should be collaborative & casual and I will provide a safe space to laugh and/or cry without fear of judgement.
